Logistics Specialist - Secure Networks

**Description** This is a logistics position in support of the Department of State (DoS) Vanguard Program. Logistics Specialist is responsible for the physical security, inventory, and distribution of sensitive network security hardware. This role bridges the gap between high-tech cybersecurity and traditional warehouse logistics, requiring a rigorous commitment to security protocols. Local travel may be required. **Description of Duties:** + Secure Receipt & Inspection: Managing the intake of next-generation cybersecurity assets, verifying serial numbers against shipping manifests, and inspecting signs of tampering. + Inventory Accountability: Maintaining 100% accurate real-time records of all cybersecurity assets using specialized management systems. + Storage Management: Ensuring all materials are stored in approved safes or high-security vaults according to their classification level (Secret/Top Secret). + Distribution & Couriering: Preparing secure shipments and occasionally acting as a cleared courier to deliver encryption devices to remote sites or field offices. + Controlled Destruction: Overseeing the witnessed destruction of expired cybersecurity assets and the decommissioning of obsolete hardware. + Audit Readiness: Performing daily or weekly physical "sight" inventories to ensure no items have been misplaced and preparing for formal government or internal inspections. **Qualifications** **Required Education/Experience:** + Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience + Proven track record of tracking and resolving logistic issues. + Experience coordinating and shipping equipment overseas. + Logistics Proficiency: Experience with warehouse management software, RF scanning, and standard shipping/receiving procedures. + Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods while managing hardware racks or crates. + Attention to Detail: Extreme meticulousness; a single digit error in a serial number can trigger a national-level security incident investigation. + Knowledge of DOS Embassies and posts. + Knowledge of Diplomatic security rules and regulations for shipping. **Clearance Requirement:** + US Citizenship. + Top Secret (Active).
