Providing specialized care on a progressive care telemetry unit, this travel registered nurse role is dedicated to delivering comprehensive patient-centered nursing services. Situated in Wapakoneta, OH, this position focuses on managing adult and geriatric patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma, utilizing advanced telemetry and critical care skills in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Interpret telemetry readings every 4 hours using EPIC electronic health records. Administer medications and manage complex treatments, including cardiac drips and respiratory support modalities such as BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula. Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and serve as a patient advocate. Maintain clinical competence through ongoing education and application of evidence-based practices. Respond effectively to changing patient conditions, ensuring safety and quality care standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience Current RN license with compact state coverage. Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience, including acute care settings. Dysrhythmia exam certification required (study guide available). BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory; CCRN or PCCN preferred. Preferred experience with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and management of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin). EPIC training and critical care course completion are advantageous. Schedule 12-hour PM shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday.
