Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 – $1,630 Location: Nashville, TN (37207) — Travel Nurse assignment Unit: 3rd Floor Neuro Med/Surg (20 beds) Patient Ratio: 6:1 Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule Duration: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel / Contract RN Dress Code: Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) Job Requirements / Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience; Neuro Med/Surg or telemetry experience preferred Strong prioritization, clinical judgment, and multitasking skills in fast-paced settings Comfortable with travel nurse assignments and flexible unit floats per facility policy Key Responsibilities Deliver attentive, compassionate care to neuro and medical-surgical patients as a travel nurse Perform bedside shift reports and build rapport with patients and families Start IVs, provide basic wound care, and manage surgical drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes Monitor patients using telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, and PCA devices; operate IV pumps and feeding pumps Use equipment including EKG machines, bladder scanner, SCDs, and mobile communication devices Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with tech support, unit secretaries, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility policy This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for RNs seeking experience in Neuro Med/Surg and travel nurse positions in Tennessee.
