Career Strategy Consultants is seeking a Process Engineer for a large manufacturing client near Carthage, TN. This is a full-time permanent position that will offer a generous base salary and benefits package and also provide substantial growth opportunities.The Process Engineer will support plant operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes. This role will focus on enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while serving as a technical resource for equipment, systems, and manufacturing processes.The ideal candidate will work closely with operations and engineering leadership to prioritize projects, implement process improvements, and support both capital and operational initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess & Technical Expertise Develop a strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operations. Provide engineering support for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of production systems. Develop expertise in ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process and equipment issues.Operational Support Analyze equipment performance, downtime, and scrap to identify improvement opportunities. Recommend and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Collaborate with operations teams to improve procedures and workflows. Provide oversight and coordination for vendors and contractors on technical projects.Continuous Improvement (Operational Excellence) Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives aligned with plant and departmental goals. Drive improvements in: Safety and risk reduction Product quality Productivity and throughput Cost reduction and efficiency Process capability and reliability Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to support improvements. Facilitate Lean events, Kaizen initiatives, and team-based improvement activities. Track and report on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes.Capital Project Management Develop capital project justifications and proposals. Manage projects from concept through execution, including: Scope development and technical specifications Installation and contractor coordination Start-up, commissioning, and validation Training and operational handoff Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and performance expectations.Data Analysis & Reporting Perform routine data analysis to support decision-making and identify trends. Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for leadership. Utilize statistical tools and software to evaluate process performance.QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.Experience 5-7 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or technical roles within a manufacturing environment. Experience with complex manufacturing processes and production systems preferred.Technical Skills Familiarity with PLCs and machine programming (hands-on programming experience preferred). Experience with automation and robotics is a plus. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred). Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Project management tools Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) Experience with ERP systems (J.D. Edwards or similar) is a plus. #ZR
