PGS Worldwide is seeking an Inspector in Chelmsford, MA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports inspection activities across all phases of assembly and manufacturing, ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications. You will work with technical documentation, inspection tools, and production teams to identify and document discrepancies. Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent Interim Secret clearance required prior to start Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Strong understanding of workmanship acceptance criteria Experience using measuring equipment and performing continuity checks on assemblies and components Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping Ability to accurately document errors, discrepancies, and inspection results Knowledge of proper procedures and safety precautions to prevent damage or injury Ability to maintain an organized and clean inspection area Ability to lift up to 15 pounds Preferred Skills Cleanroom experience J-STD-001 certification (active or inactive) IPC-610 certification (active or inactive) Experience with MIL-STD-883 What You’ll Do Perform inspections on assemblies, components, and purchased or subcontracted parts Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents Conduct continuity checks and use measuring instruments to verify specifications Identify and document discrepancies, defects, and nonconformances Maintain accurate and legible inspection records and documentation Follow proper procedures and safety protocols during inspection activities Support production teams by ensuring compliance with quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work and inspection area Perform additional duties as assigned Work Schedule / Shift Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM Training will be conducted on first shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) for 2–3 months before transitioning to second shift Job ID: 20878 Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
