Windchill Solution Architect

Job Title: Windchill Solution Architect Location: West Chester, PA / Remote FTEJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise PLM solutions using PTC Windchill. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical expertise in Windchill, hands-on integration experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable PLM architectures. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business stakeholders to modernize and optimize product lifecycle management processes.Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and implement PTC Windchill PLM solutions aligned with business and engineering requirements Lead end-to-end Windchill implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements Define system architecture, data models, workflows, and integration strategies Configure and customize Windchill modules including: PDMLink ProjectLink MPMLink Change Management Design and manage integrations with enterprise systems such as: ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) MES and other downstream systems Provide technical leadership on Windchill customization (Java, JSP, APIs, Info*Engine, Web Services) Drive data migration, system performance tuning, and environment optimization Establish PLM governance, best practices, and solution standards Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system stability initiatives Mentor development and support teams on Windchill architecture and best practices Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in PLM solutions, with strong expertise in PTC Windchill Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect in Windchill environments Deep knowledge of: Windchill architecture Object modeling & lifecycle management Workflow and change management processes Hands-on experience with Windchill customization & configuration Strong experience in system integrations (ERP, CAD, MES) Proficiency in Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services, and Windchill APIs Experience with data migration and upgrades in Windchill environments Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes (BOM, Part structures, Change processes)
