We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor at one of our hotel properties. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for all functions of the housekeeping department, including the supervision of other housekeepers. The Housekeeping Supervisor will set the schedule for the other housekeepers, ensure all housekeepers are performing up to company standards, and required to fill-in when other housekeepers are absent. Come help make a difference and join our hardworking team!Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and train all housekeeping staff according to company standard operating procedures Schedule housekeeping staff based on company needsEnsure all housekeepers are performing up to company standards Ensure all guest rooms are serviced and cleaned according to company standardsInspect and verify that all vacant rooms are ready to sell prior to openingEstablish standards for work of housekeeping staffEnsure all housekeeping equipment is in good working order and notify General Manager if notFill-in when other housekeepers are absent Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company standards and proceduresEnsure adequate supplies of cleaning materials are availableEnsure that all employee, public, and guest areas are kept cleanNotify General Manager immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policyNotify General Manager of any guest concernsMaintain superior customer service when interacting with guestsReconcile daily paperwork with General Manager prior to end of shiftSkills/ExperienceMinimum 1-year housekeeping experience with proven skills and performance or 6 months' supervisory experience in rooms division or related positionAny combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diplomaAny other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesPossess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry operations, cleaning standards and techniques Ability to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentationAbility to read, speak and write in an efficient manner in order to interact with guests and staff.Ability to compose and express thoughts in a clear and concise way to ensure effective communicationAbility to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations with time constraints and manage multiple staff members efficientlyAbility to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlinesAbility and flexibility to work long hours on a regular basis as business conditions demandAbility to use time management skills to effectively get tasks accomplished and work independently with little or no supervision Mental and Physical Demands Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThis position is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focusIndoor work with hard and carpeted surfacesStanding for eight (8) hour shiftsExposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heatPerks & BenefitsEasy to follow training programs & supportive team throughout the onboarding processHealth, dental, vision, life and disability insurance for Full-time Employees401k with company match PTO for Full-time employeesSundays off and No late shifts!Flexible schedules The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
