Anticipated Start Date: August 3, 2026Compensation: $1,300.00 per credit hourTentative Schedule: CIS 1015 Introduction to Computer information Systems: Mondays, Wednesdays, and alternating Fridays 11:50 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. CIS 1018 Introduction to PC Applications: Mondays, Wednesdays, and alternating Fridays 1:25 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.Position PurposeThe Computer Science adjunct works under the supervision of the Academic Dean and is responsible for meeting all scheduled classes and providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of CEC, the community college, and the approved course syllabus.Job Duties Upholds CEC's beliefs found on the CEC website. Develops and administers Computer Science education curriculum consistent with community college objectives. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to enhance learning. Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of course work to everyday life. Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods accordingly. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. Organizes and maintains Infinite Campus (IC) for accurate and complete recordkeeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievements, and daily attendance as required in CEC policies. Ensures that student conduct conforms with CEC's Student and Family Handbook and CEC policies. Collaborates with other CEC staff members and participates in staff meetings and professional development as requested by the Head of School. Other duties as assigned.Qualification Requirements Masters degree & 18 graduate credit hours in computer science required. Related degree, credential, and/or occupational experience in: Computer Information Systems, Computer Networking, Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Computer Systems Analyst, Software Systems Developer, Web Developer, Database Administrator, Network Systems Administrator. Prior to start, approval will be required by community college partner. Prior teaching experience preferred.Conditions of Employment All offers of employment are conditional upon a successful background check and references.
