Essential Job FunctionsPerform storm water inspections of city outfalls.Conducts stream monitoring.Enter data for water quality programs and create reports.Assisting with educational programs such as Get Fit and Storm Water EducationCustomer service - interaction with citizens and employeesPerforming various other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Environmental Quality Manager Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; an individual in pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Environmental, Geology, or similar field. Recent graduates will also be considered. Valid Texas Class C Driver's LicenseMust have flexibility to work after hours and weekendsFor city employees who are regular part time (10-19 hours per week) or seasonal hired placed on City payroll, the following benefits are provided: - Public Agency Retirement System: the employee contributes 6.2% each paycheck to this retirement system and the city provides 1.3%. The employee does not pay into Social Security. All of the employees contributions may be withdrawn upon separating service from the city. The City's contributions will not be paid unless the employee retires under the system. Part time or seasonal employees are not eligible for any paid leave or other benefits.
