Position Type: Summer Learning/ESY - ParaprofessionalDate Posted: 3/2/2026Location: Lincoln Elementary SchoolDate Available: 06/12/2026Closing Date: Until FilledExtended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education program for students with disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment time, a student is required to attend ESY. These services will be based upon the individual needs of the students per their IEP goals/objectives. This role is within our specialized RISE and STEP programs and requires supporting students with significant needs in highly structured settings. RISE serves students with moderate-to-severe intellectual/developmental and multiple disabilities, while STEP primarily serves students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and focuses on structured teaching, communication, behavior/self-management, independence, and generalization of skills. Many students who are in the STEP or RISE program that attend ESY are students in a specialized program throughout the school year. They require a significantly modified curriculum, small setting classrooms, and direct instruction on modified academics and life/social skills.Program DetailsOrientation Dates: June 12, 2026 Program Dates: June 15, 2026 - July 16, 2026 Days of the Week: Monday-Thursday Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.Location: Lincoln Elementary SchoolStipend: $1,650 (includes $200 for orientation) An additional stipend shall be provided to paraprofessionals who participate in Extended School Year or Board approved Summer School Programs with the following length of service in the District:5 years or less $5006 -10 years $75011+ years $1000Application Process:Apply online Selection Process:Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview
