Position Type: Summer Learning/ESY - ParaprofessionalDate Posted: 3/2/2026Location: Lincoln Elementary SchoolDate Available: 06/12/2026Closing Date: Until FilledExtended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education program for students with disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment time, a student is required to attend ESY. These services will be based upon the individual needs of the students per their IEP goals/objectives. This role is within our specialized RISE and STEP programs and requires supporting students with significant needs in highly structured settings. RISE serves students with moderate-to-severe intellectual/developmental and multiple disabilities, while STEP primarily serves students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and focuses on structured teaching, communication, behavior/self-management, independence, and generalization of skills. Many students who are in the STEP or RISE program that attend ESY are students in a specialized program throughout the school year.
