Shipping Clerk

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is the effective and efficient management of the packing and shipping operations in a way that ensures accurate, on-time deliveries to our customers.Job Duties:Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouseMaintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards Maintains company's quality standards and follows computer procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine materialResponsible for Packing Department operations and equipmentResponsible for inventory control/management of inventory/finished goodsEnsure that shipment documentation and data entry into reporting system is accurately completed and routed to Customer Service, and other functions and/or data entered into reporting system as requiredWork in conjunction with Scheduler and Shift Operations Leaders to ensure accurate and timely entry of all finished goods, rewinds, and off-cutsWork to efficiently reuse pallets and endplates Responsible for effective management of outbound shipmentsJob Qualifications:High school diploma or (General Education Degree) GED requiredOne to three years' experience in shipping or receiving function in manufacturing environmentMust have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-taskMust have tow motor experience and be able to successfully complete tow motor certification trainingExceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skillsMust possess good problem-solving skillsAbility to interact in a professional manner with coworkers, other departments, and vendorsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingBasic computer skillsWillingness to work as team member or independentlyMust be able to lift up to 50lbsMust be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.
