A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:RN - PCU Job Details:• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement• Holiday support required• 10 ICU/PCU overflow beds with patient ratios of 2:1 ICU and 4-5:1 PCU• No on-call requirements• Floating to other units required• Day shift: 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RN; Night shift: 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RN• Work with lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, and other critical care equipment• Use Cerner documentation system• Perform bedside shift reports (mandatory)• Relief charge nurses expected to perform nurse leader rounding• Medical ICU experience in large facility required• Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management• Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management• Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others Facility:This healthcare facility features a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit located in the A tower on the 3rd floor.
