Must have experience in neuro telemetry and be adept at handling a fast-paced, high turnover unit. Proficiency in maintaining sterile fields and sim lab requirements is essential.Responsibilities: Provide patient care with a focus on telemetry and neuro assessments. Complete SIMs Lab requirements for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Float as necessary to cardiac tele, tele overflow in ICU, and medsurg. Interpret EKGs with central monitoring and handle titrated medications like Heparin, Amio, and Cardizem.Requirements: Valid nursing license with the ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of 2 years of experience; neuro experience preferred. Must maintain natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must clean shave for fit test. Experience with Cerner EMR and capable of managing a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
