CNC Machinist - Aerospace (Boeing/Airbus) | Up to $43.70/hr | 4-Day Work WeekJob DescriptionAs a CNC Machinist, you will perform setups and operate all conventional and CNC machine shop equipment, including lathes and milling machines, to achieve very close tolerances. You will utilize your strong experience in CNC milling and controls programming, specifically with systems such as Fanuc and Okuma. This role is ideal for individuals with at least 5 years of experience in a journey-level or comparable position.Company: Exotic MetalsLocation: KentResponsibilities Perform setups and complex operations using engine lathes, milling machines, punch press, forming press, shear, press brake, expander, and other machinery on production hardware. Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution. Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, drawings, and documents. Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts. Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures. Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning, including correct quantities and paperless timecard system. Develop some new jobs and may train others on basic operations on a variety of skills and machines. Assist in improving processes and tools and serve as a resource for resolving complex challenges. Essential Skills Proficient in operating and setting up conventional and CNC machinery, specifically 3 & 4 axis machines. Strong understanding of shop math and trigonometry skills. Experienced in interpreting manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions. Familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments. Good manual dexterity and ability to perform shop mathematics associated with machine operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience with Inconel and Stainless Steel is advantageous. Experience in aerospace sector, particularly with Boeing 737 and Air Bus, is preferred. Ability to stop and seek clarification when necessary. Willingness to oversee others and train them on machine operations.
