Occupational Therapist

Our client, a leading and highly respected healthcare system in Texas, is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Waco. This full-time, onsite role supports patient care in an inpatient rehab and acute care setting, helping individuals regain independence and improve daily functioning. This role offers competitive compensation of up to $2,200 per week. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with physical, cognitive, or emotional limitations. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans. Modify therapy programs and goals based on patient progress and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and adaptive techniques. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and enter charges appropriately. Supervise support staff, students, and volunteers as needed. Support a patient-centered environment focused on quality care and outcomes. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or acute care required. Required Skills: Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license. BLS certification (AHA required). Strong understanding of rehabilitation and acute care practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Team-oriented with a proactive and patient-focused approach.
