Travel Stepdown RN - Salisbury, North Carolina

This travel nursing opportunity offers a rewarding role in an advanced stepdown unit dedicated to high-quality patient care. Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years of progressive care experience will find a fast-paced environment welcoming first-time travelers. The unit cares for adults with complex diagnoses including acute respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, NSTEMI, sepsis, and more, requiring strong critical thinking and advanced skill sets. Key Responsibilities: Manage and provide care for patients with complex cardiopulmonary and post-procedure conditions. Perform specialized nursing tasks such as BiPAP, Optiflow, trach and chest tube care, wound vac management, and medication drip titrations (including Heparin, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone). Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists, maintaining excellent communication and teamwork. Utilize electronic medical records (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and other advanced monitoring equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Adhere to policies and guidelines while floating within the region as needed. Qualifications: Active RN license. BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred. Minimum 2 years PCU or stepdown nursing experience. Proficient in advanced respiratory support and medication drip management. Comfortable with frequent use of technology and familiarity with Epic EMR. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
