Women's Health Nurse Practitioner We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. COMC is looking for a mission-driven team member who is comfortable working with patients with diverse backgrounds. We are seeking a positive, motivated, self-starter for this position. This position will be located in scenic Osage Beach, Missouri, recently voted by Travel and Leisure.com as one of the top 15 best lake towns in America (number one for families), a great location for raising a family and enjoying a variety of outdoor recreational activities. COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, affordable healthcare to the communities we serve. Responsibilities include: Provide patient examinations, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of selected illnesses under protocols jointly adopted by nurse practitioner and physician. Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy, including prenatal advising and postnatal care. Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results. Maintain adequate and properly documented records per COMC policy. Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatment with patients and/or their family members as designated on patient HIPAA forms. Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition. Provide health promotion information and teaching thereof. Make referral to other health professionals and agencies when necessary. Assist in the further education of health professionals rotating through the clinics. Assist with the periodic revision of health maintenance protocols, illness protocols, counseling protocols with other providers. Continue personal professional education as required to maintain licensure. Participate in all COMC Quality Improvement policies and activities. Maintain collaboration with a presiding physician. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification requirements include: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Missouri and be currently registered as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Experience working in Obstetrics. Other skills and abilities include: Dependability & reliability. Communication skills. Teamwork & cooperation. Physical demands include moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 35 pounds of weight. Travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri driver's license and availability of a motor vehicle. Knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA and 340B regulations is required.
