Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU / MSDU Location: Rochester, NY 14621 Duration: 13 Weeks Contract DescriptionShift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shifts (48 hours/week) Every other weekend required Role Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a step-down unit (PCU/MSDU) to provide high-quality care to adult acute care patients. The role involves patient monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a step-down (intermediate care) unit Monitor patients using telemetry and pulse oximetry Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias Respond to emergencies using Rapid Response/Code teams Administer IV therapy, manage peripheral lines, and perform phlebotomy Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management Manage patients with arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions Follow infection control and isolation protocols Float between assignments based on patient care needs Document patient care accurately using EPIC Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 in Med-Surg settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing patient needs Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of RN experience in PCU/MSDU Active NY RN license (must be in hand) EPIC experience required BLS certification required Ability to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio Additional Information Floating required First-time travelers accepted 16 hours orientation (non-billable) Scrubs: Navy and White COVID vaccination not required For more details reach Call / Text at 516-862-1203.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
