A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:RN - Med Surg Job Details:• Work day shifts from 5:00 PM to 9:30 AM• 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 or 48 hours weekly• Weekend work required every other weekend• No call requirements• May be floated to other units based on staffing needs• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)• Work with 15-bed medical-surgical unit (15 additional beds under construction)• Care for medical/surgical patients of all age groups• Utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments• Equipment includes Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machines• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC• Required: Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure, BLS from AHA, 1 year medical-surgical inpatient experience• Preferred: ACLS from AHA• Dress code: Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance• Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1 Facility:This healthcare facility has been serving the South St. Louis County area for more than 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
