Material Handler Responsibilities Manifesting and creating deliveries to ensure the prompt, accurate processing of customer orders Picking and packing domestic and international shipments Preparing shipments for trade shows Packing hazardous materials for transportation Receiving finished goods Miscellaneous duties assigned by supervisor Experience Ability to operate material handling equipment, including the following: forklift, stock-picker, pallet jack, hand truck, and step ladder Basic math skills with emphasis on addition and subtraction Familiar with warehouse safety procedures Sound communication skills, which include the ability to work in a team environment Administration skills, which include the ability to organize and record data neatly and accurately by paying close attention to detail Ability to prioritize workload Able to lift up to 50lbs
