Maintenance Mechanic Clackamas, OR 97015 Work Schedule: 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm 5 days a week 8 hours a day. 2nd shift 2pm to 10:30pm 5 days a week 8 hours a day. 3rd shift/graveyard 10pm to 6:30 am 5 days a week 8 hours a day. For any shift, the worker must be open to working at least one weekend day, and overtime. PLEASE NOTE ON RESUME WHICH SHIFT THE WORKER IS INTERESTED IN. Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States.SUMMARY: As a Maintenance Mechanic II you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: As a part of a Union environment, our team is looking for an individual that can be flexible during their probationary period. Specifically, with scheduling, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays, with appropriate notice. You may be asked to function within multiple areas of the plant. Here is a list of most of the responsibilities that may be asked of you: Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices Lockout/Tagout Procedures Changeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipment Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers (VFD/PLCs), robots, boiler and wastewater); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Able to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.) Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently Maintain organization of spare parts Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor Complete special projects and duties as assigned Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment Welding mild and stainless steel (sanitary welding) Complete work orders Maintain logs and records Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role WHAT WE ARE SEARCHING FOR: You are 18 years of age or older You enjoy working as a part of a larger team to make an impact Ensuring a safe work environment is a priority to you You take pride in the work you do, with every detail, whether big or small You must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are required Being a part of your community matters WE BELIEVE THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS THESE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: High School Degree or equivalent At least 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred OSHA 10/CPR nice to have prior experience Prior experience operating pallet jacks or forklifts. Previous forklift certification preferred.
