Engineering Project Manager

Position Purpose: We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to work onsite in Birmingham, AL with the ability to travel. The Engineering Project Manager will work with the engineering team to successfully and efficiently deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions to our external and internal customers. Specifically, the Engineering Project Manager will oversee the design, build, and install of conveyor systems across multiple locations in the country. Our typical projects include: Manage conveyor design, manufacture, and installation projects Robot installations and programming Automotive Body, Paint & Assembly plant upgrades and greenfield installation projects Automotive Powertrain plant upgrades and greenfield installation projects Upgrades and installation projects for other manufacturing industries Structural steel and mezzanine design, manufacture and installation Heavy equipment relocation of manufacturing equipment (Rigging & Millwright Projects) On-site technical services to support project and customer needs Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively All other duties as assigned by Leadec Manager REQUIREMENTS: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or higher level of education Experience with conveyor design Work as a part of our engineering team or individually as directed by your supervisor Provide field engineering support for the installation and modification of equipment during summer shutdowns Use your engineering skills to design new or modify existing plant processing equipment, steel structures or system components 3-D Modeling, design and analysis 2-D CAD general arrangement and detailing Generation of Bills of Material for purchase or fabrication Team collaboration with systems engineering, project management and installation crews Field investigation including feasibility analysis, field measurements, and collaboration with installation crews Ability to travel up to 75%
