Please find additional details about the role below: Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer Location: St Louis, MO (Onsite) Pay Rate: $40/hr to $45/hr on W2 (All Inclusive) Type: Contract Duration: 6+ Months Position Overview The Construction Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction processes and materials used in projects. This role involves monitoring, assessing, and approving the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, code requirements, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC) Develop and implement QA/QC plans for assigned construction projects Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Monitor contractor and subcontractor work for quality compliance Inspection & Compliance Conduct regular site inspections and audits Verify compliance with approved designs, codes, and industry standards Review and approve inspection reports, test plans, and material submittals Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement Identify quality issues and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions Perform root cause analysis for quality failures Recommend preventive measures to improve overall project quality Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain quality records, reports, and documentation Ensure proper tracking of quality metrics and compliance records Communicate quality status to project stakeholders Collaboration & Training Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors Provide training and guidance on QA/QC processes and best practices Support cross-functional coordination to ensure project success Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical preferred), Construction Management, or related field 10+ years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards Familiarity with construction quality regulations and best practices Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management tools Preferred Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Management Professional (QMP) Experience with Life Sciences, GMP, or cleanroom construction projects Work Environment Onsite role based in St. Louis, MO Collaboration with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders Field-based work environment with regular site inspections Additional Notes Contract, hourly position (no benefits or paid time off) Candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense Role requires full onsite presence About Trident: Trident Consulting is an award-winning IT/engineering staffing company founded in 2005 and headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
