First Article Inspector

1st Article Inspector – 2nd ShiftTempe, AZ $25–$30/hr + 8% Shift Differential Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM We’re looking for a detail-oriented 1st Article Inspector to join our quality team on 2nd shift. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring high-precision products meet strict customer and industry standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do: Perform first article inspections and follow detailed manufacturing plans and inspection procedures Conduct receiving inspections using mechanical and electrical instruments, CMM, functional gauges, and test fixtures Use sampling plans to verify product acceptance according to customer specifications Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials Record inspection data, variable test results, and SPC information in our computer systems Review product history for trends and perform detailed analysis Prepare and maintain accurate quality documentation Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support quality goals What You Bring: 1–3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (required) Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection procedures Hands-on experience with standard inspection tools, CMM, and gauges Solid understanding of SPC, workmanship standards, and basic GD&T Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, heat treat, plating, welding, etc.) Good math, computer, and organizational skills High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical inspection experience with semiconductor or aerospace products/assemblies Schedule & Compensation: 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM Pay: $25–$30 per hour + 8% shift differential Competitive pay based on experience Physical Requirements: Eyesight correctable to 20/25 Must be able to pass a color blindness test If you take pride in precision, have a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy working in a quality-focused manufacturing setting, we’d love to hear from you!
