Job Description As the Traveling Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of development and construction across a diverse portfolio, reporting directly to senior leadership. You will take ownership of schedule, quality, and coordination across multiple states. You will: Lead full-cycle project management on large-format retail, QSR, and fuel-oriented sites (including turnkey programs exceeding $10M). Conduct monthly site visits nationwide, managing on-site progress, GC coordination, and issue resolution. Support both retail shell development and multi-tenant coordination work when not traveling. Manage pay applications, budgets, pre-construction activities, permitting, and closeout documentation. Partner with engineers, municipalities, and external stakeholders to keep projects on track. Utilize Procore and related platforms for documentation, scheduling, and reporting. Represent the development team professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The Successful Applicant For the Traveling Project Manager role, we are seeking: 7+ years of construction project management experience. Demonstrated success delivering ground-up QSR, gas station, or fueling projects (e.g., major convenience or travel center brands). Strong civil construction knowledge, particularly early-stage sitework and utilities. Background from a general contractor or owner's representative environment preferred. Experience managing multi-state travel and coordinating with dispersed GCs and subs. Proficiency in Procore and strong familiarity with pay application processes. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to balance travel work with in-office PM duties when home in Houston.
