Job Opportunity: Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (Correctional Facility) Location: Leavittsburg, Ohio Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday 1st shift Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months Interview: On-site interview required Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) to deliver high-quality, primary care services at a male correctional facility in Ohio. This is a full-time, weekday-only opportunity with no evening, weekend, or holiday shifts. Shift start and end times are flexible based on the facility’s needs. Qualifications: Active Ohio NP license Minimum 1 year of NP experience in primary care Current BLS/CPR certification (healthcare professional level) DEA certification (preferred) Must be able to pass a metal detector screening Compliant with facility entry protocols (see below) Application Requirements: Comprehensive resume including: Education (with location and year of graduation) Training Complete work history Ohio License BLS/CPR Certification DEA Certification (if available) Important Notes: Drug and TB test documents must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to start . No cell phones allowed inside the facility until paperwork is submitted and approved. Prohibited items: Cans, tobacco, vapes, etc. Food and drink must be in clear, see-through containers . Submit your resume and credentials DEA, BLS, and NP Certification to Provide primary care to patients Serve as a nurse practitioner in skilled nursing centers Make independent health care decisions regarding patient care Provide care and treatment for psychiatric patients Providing patient-focused health care Provide well child care, acute care Providing care for patients in acute and critical care settings Produce care plan for patients Provide wound care to patients Provide primary health care, including preventive care services, for patients Provide primary care and patient education Ensure care coordination and patient centered care Provide comprehensive primary health care to a population of patients Advise patients about continuing care Act as an independent practitioner Treat and care for patients Providing episodic care of patients Provide work related health care services to patients Manage patients for wound care services Perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established protocols and current standards for acute care nurse practitioner practice
