Registered Nurse - II SJCH 8 Peds Acute Care 8 ACU is a 28-bed medical-surgical inpatient unit providing care for children ages 018, with some adult patients up to age 25. This secured unit features 28 private rooms, including 2 negative pressure isolation rooms, 4 rooms equipped with patient lifts, and 4 behavioral rooms. Eight beds are designated for our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We admit patients under multiple service lines, including general pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, and ENT surgical services. Common medical admissions include fever, cellulitis/abscesses, respiratory illnesses, asthma, sepsis, and hyperbilirubinemia in infants. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Youth Apprentices and Unit Secretaries The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
