Key Responsibilities: Provide expert neonatal care for newborns in a Level IV NICU environment. Cover diverse shifts including weekdays, overnight, weekend, and 24-hour rotations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, patient-centered care. Follow established protocols and documentation requirements, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations. Participate in on-call duties and respond promptly to emergent neonatal needs. Required Skills: Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in California. Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology. Proven experience working in a Level III or IV NICU setting. Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Skills: Advanced certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Prior experience with hospital electronic health records (EHR) systems. Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations. Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and emergency situations. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree with specialization in Neonatology. Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in neonatal intensive care. Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus. Other Requirements: Availability for shifts outlined within the specified coverage schedule, including weekends and nights. Willingness to participate in orientation and team integration. Valid California medical license and any necessary hospital credentials. Ability to travel if required for specific shifts or assignments.
