Nonprofit Accountant Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid Schedule) Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base annually Are you an accounting professional who wants your work to matter? Why You’ll Love This Role Meaningful work that contributes directly to community impact Supportive, values‑driven work culture Opportunities to deepen expertise in nonprofit finance and fund accounting Saint Paul–based hybrid schedule Key Responsibilities Financial Operations and Reporting Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll allocations, and general ledger activity Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and program‑level reporting Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and restricted funds Track grant expenditures and ensure compliance with federal, state, and foundation requirements Prepare grant budgets, financial reports, and reimbursement submissions Maintain documentation for restricted and unrestricted funding streams Assist with year‑end audit preparation and serve as a liaison with external auditors Ensure adherence to GAAP and nonprofit financial best practices Support internal control processes and financial policy compliance Partner with program leaders to support budget understanding and financial decision‑making Assist with annual budget development and forecasting Contribute to process improvement and accounting systems enhancements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred but not required) Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary, offering $60,000 - $70,000 base salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution Generous PTO and paid holidays Professional development opportunities Mission‑driven and collaborative work environment #INFEB2025 #LI-HK1 #LI-Onsite
