About the RoleFLATS®, a Proper company, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of our residential community. In this role, you'll ensure that all common areas, amenities, and back-of-house spaces are consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on janitorial or custodial experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards and contributing to a positive resident experience. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning of common areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and amenity spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces to maintain a pristine environment Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal per property guidelines Restock supplies in restrooms and shared spaces Monitor property cleanliness throughout the day and respond promptly to spills or urgent needs Support light upkeep tasks, including exterior tidiness and minor cleaning duties Assist with move-in and move-out turnover cleaning Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate team members RequirementsQualificationsPrevious janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience (residential, hospitality, or commercial preferred) Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Basic communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends BenefitsCompensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay depending on experience Benefits package available (medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k), where applicable) FLATS is an equal opportunity employer.
