Senior Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Redford, MI. This position requires extensive experience with enterprise networks as you will guide junior engineers and ensure the reliability of our manufacturing-focused network . Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Senior Network Engineer job responsibilities include: Design and implement secure, reliable enterprise-level networks in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts and proactively monitor network performance to ensure stability.Mentor and support junior network engineers, providing guidance and developing standard procedures.Define and maintain secure baseline configurations while ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.Engage with manufacturing operations to understand network requirements and align solutions with IT/OT needs.Test, upgrade, and optimize network equipment to maintain compliance with best practices and security standards. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.5-7+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise networks in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong understanding of the OSI model, advanced troubleshooting, and secure network design.Proven experience with Cisco technologies, including CCNA/CCNP-level skills and the ability to lead complex network initiatives.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
