Job#: 3027956 Job Description: Surface Analyst Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid, 3 days/week) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview We are seeking a Surface Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will analyze, interpret, and manage surface-related lease and contract data. This role involves assisting with monthly payment calendars, supporting Land Operations Teams, and contributing to special projects such as acquisitions and divestitures. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in land principles and contract management within a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities * Analyze, interpret, input, and update surface-related lease and contract data to ensure completeness and accuracy. * Assist with managing monthly calendars for payments, expirations, and obligations associated with surface assets. * Support surface-related Land Operations Teams, including ventures in low carbon and chemicals. * Learn to identify and track contractual obligations related to surface acquisitions, trades, and divestitures. * Contribute to special projects, including data quality initiatives for surface assets. * Interpret contracts and leases, resolving technical and data-related issues. * Assist in tracking partner offerings and preparing agreement exhibits and reports. * Serve as a point of contact for landowners and stakeholders, resolving inquiries. * Collaborate with internal teams, including Land Administration, Land Operations, Accounting, and Legal. Required Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word. Knowledge of basic land principles and their application. Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of Quorum Land System or SAP is a plus. * General understanding of land terminology and contracts. * Experience working on projects of increased complexity under general direction. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $60.00 to $70.00 per hour. This employer is an equal opportunity employer.
