Occasional weekday hours to assist with reporting and planning. This is a seasonal position and is therefore temporary in nature. Position ends at the end of the season. Winter market season hours may be available, based on applicant's availability. NATURE OF WORKUnder general direction of the Recreation Coordinator, provides day-of, on-site supervision for setup, operations and teardown of the Richfield Farmers Market. Oversees the Farmers Market information booth and market token sales. Assists market vendors and visitors who have questions and concerns. Oversees and operates farmers market card machine, completes and records transactions for credit, debit, and EBT/SNAP. Job DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIESActs as on-site lead staff providing direction to staff and volunteersActs as on-site contact for Richfield Farmers Market participants including vendors, musicians, instructors, and other service providers. Acts as on-site contact at the Richfield Farmers Market for customer comments, questions, and concerns - documenting any customer interactions that need follow up from the Recreation Coordinator. Ensures safe operation of Farmers Market and related programming. In case of any emergency, contacts public safety, documents details and outcomes and notifies the appropriate Recreation Services Staff.Enforces Farmers Market policies, including those related to food safety, tobacco policy, pet policy, and appropriate vendor conduct, documents infractions.Ensures safe operation of Farmers Market and related programming. In case of any emergency, contacts public safety, documents details and outcomes and notifies the appropriate Recreation Services Staff.Operates farmers market card machine, including completing credit, debit, and EBT/SNAP transactions and recording transactions.Assists with Farmers Market event setup and takedown, including setup of the information booth, signs, tents, and tables.
