Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 (Competitive weekly pay for travel RN) Location: Columbus, OH 43210 - Columbus nursing jobs / Ohio travel nursing Contract Duration: 16 weeks (May 4, 2026 - August 24, 2026) Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week - Night shift travel nurse Hours per Week: 36 Unit: 19 James Med Surg Oncology - Med/Surg Telemetry Unit Employment Type: Travel / Travel Nurse (Travel RN) Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; must include at least 1 year of current specialty experience (Med/Surg or Telemetry) Valid RN license: compact RN or Ohio RN license required at time of submission Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program BCLS certification required EPIC charting system experience required (EPIC experience preferred for Telemetry/Oncology RNs) Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Oncology experience preferred but not required - Oncology RN and Telemetry experience are a plus Previous travel nursing experience preferred Responsibilities Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with oncology diagnoses in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and other treatments Manage symptom relief and comorbidities for patients undergoing treatment or experiencing disease progression Implement infection prevention and fall prevention strategies consistent with hospital policies Utilize specialized equipment: B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs; access and manage ports, arterial and central lines; administer blood products; start and maintain IVs Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and manage high flow nasal cannula Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel RN - Med/Surg Telemetry / Oncology RN opportunities in Columbus, OH.
