Working under the direction of laboratory leadership and pathology staff, this role ensures high-quality results while maintaining compliance with established standards and protocols.________________________________________Key Responsibilities:• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including: o Blood Bank o Chemistry o Hematology o Coagulation o Urinalysis o Microbiology (including Gram stains) • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment • Adhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and safety regulations • Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing • Maintain quality control and participate in quality assurance programs • Document and report test findings in a timely manner • Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment ________________________________________Schedule:• Night Shift: 10-hour shifts • Rotating schedule including weekdays and weekends • Biweekly guaranteed hours as per assignment requirements ________________________________________Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent • Minimum of 2 years of recent laboratory experience • Strong experience as a generalist across multiple lab disciplines • Proficiency in laboratory information systems and electronic medical records (EMR) • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills ________________________________________Preferred Skills:• Experience with integrated EMR systems (e.g., Epic) • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities ________________________________________Additional Requirements:• Must be in good professional standing with previous employers • Compliance with all onboarding and credentialing requirements • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and handling laboratory materialsCompunnel Healthcare Job ID #165937.
