This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center, 2319 St. Mattews Road Orangeburg SC 29118. As the Nurse Practitioner, Non-Institutional, under limited supervision you will provide medical and psychiatric evaluation to clients across the age span. Responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner, Non - Institutional: Provide individualized goal directed interventions that are safe and effective to clients of all ages (as credentialed) and clinical presentations utilizing nursing practice standards and in collaboration with members of the health care team to achieve identified outcomes. Provide comprehensive psychiatric, psychopharmacological and risk assessment/management for patients of all ages (in accordance with educational credentials) and all clinical presentations across the continuum. Collaborate with physician supervisor to establish protocols. Supervise practices are pertinent to psychiatric diagnosis, pharmacological management and any other treatment. Must meet productivity requirements as outlined by Center Administration. Consistently adheres to Compliance policies and Code of Conduct of the organization. Demonstrate compliance with relevant safety accreditation, and regulatory requirements. Nurse Practitioner must demonstrate compliance with all applicable hospital policies. Maintain current and up to date knowledge and skills related to client treatment. Order lab work and screens incoming lab work protocol. Minimum and Additional RequirementsGraduation from an accredited school of nursing at the master's level or doctoral level acceptable to the Board to include clinical experience. A master's degree in nursing. Licensure as a registered nurse with official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the SC Board of Nursing, practicing in the extended role with prescriptive authority in the State of South Carolina. Preferred QualificationsMust be flexible in regard to work environment and travel. Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (20) lbs., may be required to lift more during times of emergencies. Ability to squat, push, kneel, bend, and maneuver to assist patients.
