Travel NICU Nurse (RN) | Oviedo, Florida

A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with NICU expertise, focusing on Level 4 neonatal intensive care. This travel role is based in Oviedo, FL, at a hospital renowned for its dedicated care of women and babies. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert nursing care to premature infants in a Level 4 NICU setting. Utilize advanced respiratory equipment including HFJV, HFOV, Conventional ventilators, Nitric oxide delivery, BCPAP, HHFNC, LTV, and MR1. Collaborate effectively within the respiratory care team and document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system. Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards. Qualifications: Active RN license with at least 2 years' experience in Level 4 NICU nursing. Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Experience operating high-frequency jet ventilators (HFJV) is essential. Strong understanding of neonatal respiratory support for premature infants. Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week, with a 6-shifts-per-6-weekend schedule. Schedule and Work Environment: Shift: Days, 06:45 - 19:15 Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 Patient-to-nurse ratios ranging from 6-8:1 Professional dress code; scrubs allowed with restrictions on licensed character designs.
