Job Description

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Albany, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,400 per week for this role. Compensation : $55 - $60 Job ID : 43564 Job Function: Night Shift. 3x12. Prepare and administer prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes, ensuring accurate documentation. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report findings promptly, adhering to established protocols. Educate patients on surgical procedures, providing clear and comprehensive information. Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording electronic displays. Initiate corrective actions when deviations from expected patient conditions are observed. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain). 2 years of experience as a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) in this specialty. BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
