Qualifications & Experience Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of ICU experience preferred; a combination of 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg experience accepted for candidates from larger facilities Required certifications: BLS and ACLS Dysrhythmia exam must be passed within two attempts prior to contract signing (minimum score 80%) Proficient in titrating drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin Strong assessment skills covering diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, and post-op complications Responsibilities Provide primary nursing care for ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients within the unit Collaborate with RT for ventilator and breathing support equipment management Perform 12-lead EKGs and continuous cardiac monitoring Float occasionally to adjacent MST, Pediatric, and West Campus ICU/PCU units with two-hour notice Work 12-hour shifts with scheduled weekend and holiday rotation Participate in hospital and unit-specific orientation programs Schedule 12-hour shifts: either 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:30 PM-7:30 AM Every other weekend required Holiday rotation as scheduled Standby rotation for low census periods This position requires adherence to radius rules and staffing policies regarding previous CommonSpirit employment.
