Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic $38-$42/hr | 2nd & 3rd Shift Summary Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial production and utility equipment in a heavy industrial environment. Responsibilities Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics Troubleshoot mechanical issues and reduce downtime Read blueprints and use precision tools Support equipment improvements and train others Required Skills Troubleshooting Mechanical repair Welding Hydraulics & pneumatics Blueprint reading Rigging Pump assembly Industrial millwright/mechanic experience Requirements Ability to climb stairs and work on upper floors Strong safety habits Reliable attendance Ability to multitask and work in a team Environment Heavy industrial setting; some areas have strong fermentation odors. Fully stocked maintenance shop with tools provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
