Senior Accountant - Long Beach, CA

Senior Accountant I'm partnered with the Director of Accounting at a multi-billion dollar, global, logistics company. They are a global, growing organization with a presence in numerous industries including Industrial, Chemicals, CPG, Tech, Automotive and many more. Their facility located in Long Beach, CA is a recent acquisition and they're looking to build out a strong US Accounting team starting with this Senior Accountant role. Job Description Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting. Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking. Support external audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Assist with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and statutory requirements as needed. Participate in system improvements, automation efforts, and process optimization initiatives. Support leadership with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of experience in Accounting. Logistics industry experience required. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
