Currently seeking an experienced commercial Claim Specialist to provide quality, cost efficient, and timely investigation of liability claims. Responsibilities include maintaining an inventory of claims handled within departmental guidelines, following best practices policies and procedures and budgetary guidelines, field investigations, negotiating limited settlements, setting reserves, attending mediations, and documenting all file activity. Litigation experience is required. This position can be remote position if located outside of the DFW Metroplex and will support the Southwest Region claims, supporting the state of Texas and other surrounding states. Please apply via our website at Drug Free Workplace (Pre-employment drug screen is conducted for all positions) Qualifications Experience Required Minimum of six years of relevant adjusting experience with demonstrated competencies in handling complex commercial claims Applicable adjuster license required; must obtain additional licenses within six months of hire Expert knowledge of insurance claims procedures, rules and systems Experience in handling and managing commercial litigated casualty files Expert knowledge of claim file management techniques and processes Expert knowledge of jurisdictional issues Advanced knowledge of the judicial and legal systems Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, and organizational skills Experience in coverage analysis and litigation management Superior negotiating skills Experience in mediation Valid driver's license and safe driving record Overnight travel is possible AIC, CCLA, SCLA designations or equivalent coursework or experience Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
