RN - Medsurg

Position Overview Medical Center is seeking experienced RN Medical/Surgical / Telemetry nurses for a per diem night shift assignment. This role requires flexibility to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units and availability to work weekends. Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process Deliver direct patient care within RN scope of practice Monitor and assess patients, including cardiac telemetry when assigned Communicate patient status changes to physicians and interdisciplinary teams Educate patients and families and guide support staff Float to units of competency as needed Minimum Requirements Current and valid California RN license Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience bility to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units Weekend availability required Meditech EMR experience preferred Required Certifications BLS (AHA or Red Cross) CLS (AHA or Red Cross) PALS / NRP (as applicable) Compliance Requirements Minimum compliance must be completed prior to start. Full compliance profile must be completed within two weeks of start date. Required items include: ctive RN license verification (Nursys) Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination (or attestation/declination) Drug screening (minimum 10-panel) Background check TB testing and health screening COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Tdap (per facility policy)
