Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics IDD

A community services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing residential facility in the Bronx, providing crucial nursing support and care to children and staff. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 12pm to 8pm or 1pm to 9pm or 2pm to 10pm or 3pm to 11pm Setting: OPWDD residential facility Responsibilities: Delivering direct nursing care to children on the residential floors Monitoring student health status and responding to medical issues Supporting school staff with health documentation and compliance audits Communicating with families and interdisciplinary teams Administering emergency medications as needed Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of experience working with people with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License Able to work independently Strong communication skills Problem-solving skills Compassionate and flexible Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience in OPWDD or special education settings Pediatric Nursing experience
