Java Full Stack Developer Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid) Employment Type: 12 Months Contract Pay Rate: $69.00 and $74.00 per hour Role Overview This role supports complex, enterprise-level software engineering initiatives within a Model Risk Management (MRM) organization. The position requires a mid- to senior-level Full Stack Java Developer to provide application support for a critical system of record for all financial models used across the bank. The engineer will support end-to-end model lifecycle workflows, ensure system reliability, and contribute to governance and compliance efforts in an evolving risk landscape. Key Responsibilities Perform full-stack Java development to support platform enhancements, fixes, and modernization efforts. Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across multiple system components and workflows. Support the model lifecycle, including documentation, governance, and validation workflows within the core application. Collaborate with Model Risk, Validation, Controls, and Technology stakeholders. Maintain system stability, reliability, and performance for enterprise-wide users. Enhance transparency and governance controls to support evolving regulatory expectations. Contribute to large-scale planning efforts and architectural discussions. Provide technical guidance to ensure proper compliance with enterprise standards and policies. Required Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience. Demonstrated expertise in full-stack Java development, including core Java and back-end application development. Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services, risk, or governance. Ability to support complex enterprise systems with multiple governance workflows. Preferred Qualifications Experience in model governance, risk management, or regulatory environments. Knowledge of Model Risk Management concepts or financial model workflows. Familiarity with documentation workflows, such as Model Definition Documentation. Exposure to governance challenges related to advanced modeling approaches, including GenAI. Compensation The estimated pay rate for this position is between $69.00 and $74.00 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
