The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Those duties include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, serves and collects food trays, feeds residents, measures and records weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed. Qualifications for a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant): High school diploma or GED. CNA license is required Long term care experience- preferred Sufficient experience in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved. Skills of CNA (Certified Nursing Assistants): All qualified applicants should possess the following qualities: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
