Details Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting Primarily scrubbing, with circulating responsibilities also required Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VADs, and more Adult patient population required; pediatric experience is a plus Active research protocols are ongoing in the department Day shift: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 8-hour shifts 40 hours per week On-call is required Approximately 1 weekend per month 13-week contract Requirements Active Virginia (VA) or Compact RN license required BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued CNOR certification preferred 3–5 years of recent scrub and circulating RN experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities required Excellent communication skills and ability to function as a team player Additional Information Candidate will primarily scrub but must be fully competent in both scrubbing and circulating Participation in department research protocols is expected Holiday coverage is required: one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 working weeks are completed Overtime may be required Free on-site parking is available American Traveler Job ID #P-691393.
