Software QA Tester U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software QA Tester in Hopkins, Minnesota. Essential Responsibilities: The Software QA Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated software tests to identify defects, analyze root causes, and ensure overall system functionality and performance. They will test system modifications prior to deployment, meticulously document defects in a bug-tracking system, and collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues. The role includes planning and performing comprehensive QA activities for financial planning, wealth management, and digital banking platforms, encompassing end-to-end, regression, cross-browser, and cross-device testing for web, iOS, and Android applications. The Software QA Tester will create detailed test plans and test cases, validate API integrations and external account aggregation workflows, and develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, and Java within established automation frameworks. The Software QA Tester will work closely with Product, Development, and Business teams to clarify requirements, identify potential gaps, and contribute to solution design. Responsibilities also include maintaining test and defect tracking in Jira, documenting testing procedures and outcomes in Confluence, and leveraging CRM tools to replicate complex production scenarios. Additionally, the Software QA Tester will assist in onboarding and mentoring new QA team members while continuously enhancing testing documentation, processes, and best practices to improve overall team efficiency and software quality. Position may allow working from home within a commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions. Basic Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science plus 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related. Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. Required Skills/Experience: Must possess 3 years of experience with Master's or 5 years of experience with Bachelor's with all of the following: quality assurance and software testing, including performing functional, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, cross-browser, and cross-device testing of web, iOS, and Android applications; developing and executing manual and automated test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, and Java, as well as validating RESTful API integrations and user interfaces using Postman; creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and comprehensive test documentation, along with tracking defects and issues using Jira and documenting testing results in Confluence; collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, identify gaps, and support solution design; participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles; working in Agile and Scrum development environments; managing automation scripts and test artifacts with Git version control system; and, utilizing all of the following tools and technologies: JavaScript; Node JS; UI Automation; API Validation; InteliJ; Maven; and Log 4J. Position may allow working from home within a commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
