Job Full Description Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:00pm Pay: $21.00-$24.00/HR Duties: Use basic tools including wrenches, hammers, drills, screwdrivers, brooms, tape measures, and assembly fixtures Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics Assemble mechanical system components in accordance with design specifications Set up and test assembled equipment, analyzing and resolving defects Drill, tap, or ream holes as required Align and install dynamic components (levers, shafts, bearings) and verify operational capacity Align and install components that mesh with one another for proper function Install connections and test systems for leaks or malfunctions Visually inspect processed parts to ensure quality standards Maintain accurate records of daily operations and material usage Keep work cell clean, organized, and safe Perform other duties and assume accountability as delegated Follow work orders and complete jobs within planned hours Punch into jobs on terminals and maintain computerized reporting Continuously improve productivity and efficiency Function effectively in a fast-paced environment Work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team setting Qualifications: Experience with assembly processes and mechanical systems preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical diagrams Skilled in using basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, drills, and measuring devices Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to align, install, and test components Ability to troubleshoot and analyze root causes of defects Physically able to lift, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, and perform repetitive motions while standing for extended periods Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment Ability to follow directions, work orders, and meet production timelines Strong teamwork skills with ability to work independently when required Basic computer skills for reporting and job tracking What does Express offer to you??
