Material Handler

Immediate need for a talented Material Handler. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Phoenix, AZ(Onsite). Key Responsibilities: Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or pallet jack Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system Coordinate with on-site team for parts replenishment and material for storage Work with production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages Perform cycle counts, audits and physical inventory per schedule. Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to Supervisor May assist in training of new hires Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned with this job type/position. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Ability to perform detail oriented work and complete projects on time Basic computer knowledge Must be able to physically lift (floor to waist, waist to crown level, and horizontally) up to 35 lbs. Must be able to physically carry up to 35 lbs. Must be able to physically perform simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation, neck rotation, and neck flexion frequently (34-85%) throughout the workday. Must be able to physically twist, push/pull, reach at or above shoulder height, reach below should height occasionally (6-33%) throughout the workday. Must be able to physically stoop, bend, squat, and balance rarely (1-5%) throughout the workday. High school Diploma or local equivalent Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English Proficient in basic mathematics Basic computer skills Ability to consistently lift, max 35 lbs Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment 1 or more years experience in storing and material handling Our client is a leading Electrical Logistics Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
